As previously stated, this month of April is national poetry month. Your child will be working on a poetry collection during this time. This may carry over a tad into the month of May.
We will cover:
Acrostics
Alliteration
Cinquains
11-lined Color word pictures
Concrete
Five Senses
Haiku
Who What When Where Why How
They will be graded on each poem written by them. They can do up to 3 poems for each style.
The grades are also based on:
Creating a book cover
Table of Contents
Self Reflection and Critiques
Illustrations
Spelling
Neatness
On time and to the best of your ablity
